How do you charge an electric car ?

Charging an electric car requires continuous communication between the vehicle and the station, in order to verify that the safety conditions are respected. The safest ways to recharge are two: standard charging (called mode 3) and fast charging (called mode 4).

Charging the car will begin by following the following procedures:

• Connect the vehicle and the charging station with the dedicated cable;

• The system establishes communication between the vehicle and the charging station;

• The system checks that all safety conditions are in place, at this point the recharging starts. If any problems arise during recharging (for example: breakage or damage to the cable), the system would automatically go into protection, cutting off the voltage and consequently interrupting the charge flow.
