Charging times and costs

Charging times and costs

There are factors that affect charging times and, contrary to what one might think, the available charging power is not the only factor that determines the charging times.

Typically, the car is not recharged only when it is completely discharged, just as recharging at 100% is not always completed. It is useful to take into account that 80% of the charge takes place in half the time required for a full recharge. There are factors that affect charging times and, contrary to what one might think, the available charging power is not the only factor that determines the charging times. Indeed, the main discriminant is the car, as it determines the amount of energy absorbed according to its absorption capacity and the safety systems on charge control. Only secondarily does the amount of energy available (energy network and charging station) become determined.
